About the role

Permanent position, based in Saguenay. Offers full range of fringe benefits. Compensation commensurate with candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The instrumentation and control technician’s duties include:

  • Apply the company’s Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) principles through a “Zero by choice” initiative;
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the various electrical equipment and instruments of the plant in a preventive maintenance process in a teamwork atmosphere;
  • Participate actively in solving problems encountered as well as participate in technology improvement strategies with the process team;
  • Modify and analyze the different programs of the PLC, HMI and other control system (Rockwell Automation family).

About you

The instrumentation and control technician shall have the following qualifications:

  • Outstanding, steadfast commitment to safety in the workplace;
  • College degree (DEC) in electrical engineering or industrial electronic;
  • Have 3 to 5 years or more of experience in maintenance of low tention electrical equipment, PLC programming and SCADA;
  • Demonstrate a high level of commitment and interest in high technology;
  • Strong French language skills (both oral and written), command of English is an asset;
  • Have experience in aluminum operations (an asset);
